REVIEW: acnes treatment series
6:56:00 AM
Hey there! As I promised, I want to post my first review ever. So while I was on senior high school (10th grade), I suffered from zit and I was confused what products would I use. After a while, I saw acnes treatment series infomercial on TV and I decided to buy their products. Here is some products I used:
- Acnes Creamy Wash
- Acnes Powder Lotion
- Acnes Pore Strip
- Acnes Point Clear
- Acnes Oil Control Film
- Acnes Sealing Gel
- Acnes Spot Care
Okay then, let me review them one by one.
- Acnes Creamy Wash
As you know, the first step to have a clear skin is cleanse. Acnes Creamy wash is one of it's cleanser product that claims:
- Fights germs that cause pimples.
- Reduces appearances of redness.
- Removes excess sebum.
- Contains vitamin C and vitamin E as antioxidants and protect skin from free radicals, also soften skin.
It has creamy texture and good citrus fragrance which isn't good for your skin. I prefer choose non-perfumed cleanser, because fragrance could dry out skin. After usage, I felt my skin clearer but it dried out my skin! It removed excess sebum on my oily skin but I think it's too harsh. It also doesn't deal much with redness around my nose area.
On my verdict, here's the pros and cons as I experienced.
Pros:
- Affordable (Rp 11.000,-) for me as a student. Remember, price may change.
- Good package.
- Creamy-textured.
- Cleanses my skin well. (It turned dark-colored cream after use when I had joined P.E. class on school lol)
cons:
- Dries my skin.
- Doesn't deal much with redness.
- Stingy citrus fragrance.
Will I repurchase? Of course not! But I would recommend this to people with very oily skin and need cleanser with affordable price.
- Acnes Powder Lotion
After cleanse, I used this as told by the promotion lady when I bought this product. Well, at first I didn't have any idea what is this for until I read its claims:
- Liquid powder that absorbs excess sebum.
- Prevents skin from breakout.
- Can be used as makeup base.
- With vitamin C and aloe vera to keep skin fresh and moisturized.
I used it as a toner. Shake well, then apply to entire face. It has liquid-powdery texture with yellow-pale colored. After usage, it tighten my skin even though it feels smooth when I touched. It absorbs excess sebum too harsh for my oily skin. I can say this is the worst product ever so that I didn't use entire bottle (maybe only 1/2 of the bottle I used lol).
On my verdict, here's pros and cons.
pros:
- Affordable (Rp 24.000,-). Price may change.
- Good package (bottle).
- It has small tube to prevent contamination from air.
- Unique texture (liquid-powdery).
- Smooth finish when I touched.
cons:
- The powder texture is hash.
- Tighten out my skin.
- Alcohol is the second ingredient of this product!!
I WON'T buy this anymore!! But I would recommend it to people with very oily skin.
- Acnes Pore Strip
Acnes pore strip claims to remove blackheads and minimizes appearances of large pores. I used it once a week. What I like about this product is affordable (Rp 4.000,-) and it also deals well to remove my blackheads and minimize my large pores. What I don't like is white-colored pore strip that makes me difficult to see the result. Also, one pack has only 3 pore strips (biore pore pack black has 4 strips with cost Rp 9.000,-).
On my verdict, here's pros and cons about this product.
pros:
- Affordable (Rp 4.000,-).
- It works as blackheads remover and minimizes my large pores.
- Non-perfume.
cons:
- White-colored strip which is difficult to see the result.
- One pack has only 3 strips.
Would I repurchase? No. I prefer Biore pore pack black which will be reviewed later.
- Acnes Point Clear
"This roll on-packaged claims to treat acne that appear recently. Apply it to affected area." Well, for me, it doesn't work at all even though for small acnes! But what I like is the package; it's hygenic. Also, the color is clear, watery-textured, easy absorbed and affordable.
Here's my verdict, pros:
- Affordable (but I forget the exact price lol).
- Hygenic package (roll-on).
- Watery-textured and clear-colored.
- Easily absorbed.
cons: Doesn't work at all!!
I definitely WON'T RECOMMEND and WON'T BUY this anymore!
- Acnes Oil Control Film
This green-colored oil control film is my favorite product of acnes treatment series so far! It absorbs excess sebum 3x strong (as claimed) without drying out my skin and it's affordable. But what I don't like is the tape. It doesn't sticky enough to get out oil control film from pack which makes me take the film with my hand.
Here's my verdict about this product.
pros:
- Affordable (Rp 25.000,-).
- Works like wonders! Absorbs excess sebum wihout drying out my skin.
cons: The tape doesn't sticky enough to get out the film.
I've been using this so far! I repurchased it twice and will again if it's run out. I would recommend this specially for oily skin.
- Acnes Sealing Gel
This gel like texture claims to treat acne by killing acne bacteria. I used it overnight after cleanse and tone with acnes powder lotion. Well, it works but takes a while to be banished (3-5 days). What I don't like about this product is the package; the tube is so big that it doesn't look hygenic. Also, it takes some time to be absorbed and it has fragrance that not too sting. What i like is the price; affordable for students like me, hehe.
here's my verdict about this product.
pros:
- Affordable (Rp 24.000,-).
- Gel-textured.
- It's effective to reduce appearances of acne.
cons:
- The tube is so big that could be contaminated.
- Takes a while to get acne banished (3-5 days).
- Perfumed.
Would I repurchase it? No. Clean and Clear acne speed clearing gel suits me best so far (would review it later). Well, I would rather recommend clean and clear acne speed clearing gel than this product.
- Acnes Spot Care
Acne spot care is claimed to reduce appearances of acne marks. I used it overnight and this clear, gel-textured product doesn't work at all! Also, it makes my skin oilier. The package also the downfall of this product; same as acnes sealing gel. It has fragrance that not too sting. But what I like is affordable and quickly absorbed if you apply small amount of it.
So here's my verdict about this product.
pros:
- Affordable (Rp 24.000,-).
- Quickly absorbed if you take small amount of it.
- Gel-textured and clear-colored.
cons:
- Doesn't work at all!
- The package doesn't look hygenic.
- Perfumed.
I won't repurchase it! So please girls, don't buy this product. Believe me, it doesn't work at all and it's company only drain ur money -___-
Okay girls, so far I only adore Acnes Oil Control Film. I've been using this since 2 years ago and will use it for the rest of my life. That's all for this review, I hope you find it useful and don't forget to comment. Sorry if I didn't post picture of their swatches or my skin transformation because I used it 2 years ago.
