REVIEW: Innisfree Haul

My mom just bought Innisfree facial foams and its other skincare products. Also, a lot of my friends said that Innisfree was one of the best Korean beauty brand. As a result, I finally wanted to give a first impression on some of Innisfree products that I used. Let's check this out.

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam

Absorb sebum and purify pores with Jeju's volcanic cleansing foam

1. A pore-cleansing foam made with Jeju volcanic scoria to absorb sebum and purify pores

2. Natural ingredients from Jeju--Volcanic scoria

Jeju volcanic scoria is an alkaline substance with pH level similar to the human body. It is an ingredient free from impurities.

*Pore cleansing foam vs. Pore scrub foam

-Pore Cleansing Foam: Daily Pore Cleansing--Remove dirt and cleans the pores

- Pore Scrub Foam: Pore Cleansing (1-2 times a week)-- A gentle scrub foam that removes dirt and dead skin cells from pores.

It was a free sample product, so I'm not sure about the price.

Innisfree Sea Salt Perfect Cleanser

A cleansing foam made with enriched sea salt for removing dead skin cells and dirt from skin for smooth and moisturized skin

1. Removes dead skin cells like a scrub product

2. With the help of sea salt, this product effectively removes dirt and dead skin cells.

3. The rich mineral content of Jeju salt makes the skin softer and smoother.

Innisfree White Pore Facial Cleanser

It has a creamy form when I squeezed it out. The texture is smooth with a few particles of soft tiny orange capsules. The capsules are gentle and they break easily when I lathered into water. As a result, it forms an adequate amount of foam. One more thing that I like, the smell of Jeju Tangerine is refreshing and pleasant.

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam

Same like the white pore one, it also has a soft and smooth texture, probably a little bit softer and smoother than white pore facial cleanser. It has a lotion-like form and it doesn't contain any granules or capsules, or any kind of exfoliator. It forms a rich amount of foam easily when I lathered it. I can't describe the smell but for me it has a pleasant smell too.

Innisfree Sea Salt Perfect Cleanser

This product acts as an exfoliator rather than daily facial cleanser. It has pretty thick texture, like solid-cream form (?) with large salt granules in it. When I lathered into water, the granules melted quickly and it formed an adequate amount of foam. The smell is also refreshing, like aqua perfumes but still pleasant to my nose.

Result:

Both of them are satisfying! Even I can't decide which one I like the most. They cleanse gently yet deeply without drying out my skin. I feel that my skin is brighter and refreshed. Also, they don't cause any bad issues on my skin such as breakout or allergies.

The sea salt one is gonna be my favorite exfoliator, and the rest of them are also impressive but I need to think about repurchasing because they are pricey lol.

I recommend them if you don't mind of budget and need a deep cleansing facial cleanser without over drying.

REVIEW: Garnier Light Complete Multi Action Brightening Foam

After a busy week, finally I can post a review. I was about to repurchase Garnier Light Complete Black Foam in mini market, but suddenly it was out of stock and there was Garnier Light Complete Multi Action Brightening Foam left, so I bought it rather than nothing. It costs IDR 14.500,- (discount! normal price is IDR 19.000). Okay, here we go.

Packaging. As good as usual

Product Description:

a gentle, easy to rinse foam with lemon essence to intensively cleanse, visibly brighten and clarify skin.

How to use: gently massage on wet face, lather and rinse with water. Avoid eye area.

Ingredients: aqua/water, glycerin, myristic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, pottasium hydroxide, lauric acid, glyceril distearate, glyceril stearate, kaolin, benzyl salicylate, citrus medica limonum extract/lemon fruit extract, limonene, linalool, methylisothiazolinone, PEG-14M, tetrasodium EDTA, parfum/fragrance (B45631/1).

Two thumbs up for the ingredients! There is no sodium laureth sulfate and parabens (chemical sources that cause cancer) which is what I like about this product. But some people may not like fragrance and linalool in it. For me, it doesn't matter as long as it works good on me.

Back side

Flip tube and it has rather big hole, so you don't have to squeeze hard.

White color, creamy and soft texture. Also, good scent of lemon! :)

after rubbing, it doesn't produce much foam.

Results:

At the moment of washing, my skin feel smooth. Thanks to the creamy and soft texture.
After rinse, it leaves squeaky clean on my skin. It also great to remove makeup impurities.
However, after a while, my cheeks area become dry. It turns out my skin concern from oily to combination skin. Luckily, it can be rid by The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Cream :)
It also fades away dark spots and acne marks permanently. Furthermore, it brightens my skin tone temporarily! I become so optimist that I will buy their full regime later :D

In conclusion, I'd like to show you its pros and cons.

Pros:

Affordable.
Doesn't contain parabens and SLS.
Packaging is good as usual facial foams. And also good looking.
Good scent of lemon and doesn't sting my nose.
Creamy and soft texture.
Leaves squeaky clean on skin.
Removes makeup impurities too!
Fades away dark spots and acne marks for twice usage.
Brightens my skin tone even though it's for temporary time.

Cons:

It has rather big hole.
Dries out my cheeks area.
Fragrance and linalool is added. Some people may not like them.

I won't repurchase it because I like Black foam version a lot much.

I'd like to recommend if you had oily skin and you want whitening effect fast. But if you have normal to dry skin or sensitive nose, it might not suitable for you.

Do you like popping your acne especially whiteheads? How tempting is to pop it? Do you know the side effect of it? I can say big NO for popping! It causes acne marks and it can't be faded easily. Then I want to present the best way to get rid of whiteheads, Nexcare Acne Cover.

Btw, I don't mean to promote or advertise it. All of my reviews including this review are based of my experience, I'm just happy about this product because it works like wonder!

Nexcare Acne Cover comes into 4 variants: Ladies, fun pack, combination and big dots. I bought ladies first and after it had run out, I bought fun pack version.

Product Description:

Water-based acne patch that is used to absorb pus and oil inside acne in 8 hours.
Covers acne and reduces risk of infection caused by contamination of air or finger touching.
Waterproof and it has air circulation to help quick recovery.
The acne patch contains only hydrocolloid dressing, no chemical drugs added.

How to use:

Cleanse your face.
Press acne patch with your clean hands to affected area.
Wait until 8 hours and you can replace it. The acne patch will turn white.

Attention:

Don't use Nexcare Acne Cover altogether with other acne cure.
If your acne becomes worse, consult a doctor.

It's sterile :)

There it is. Contains star and heart shaped acne patch.

Usage and results:

Before usage, there is whitehead on my face.

On process....

After usage, whitehead has gone! But it leaves acne mark

The acne patch turns white as it's claimed :D

It works perfectly at absorbing whiteheads! But sadly it leaves acne mark so I have to get rid of it by other treatment.

Pros:

Affordable (IDR 28.000,-)
Sterile patch.
Hydrocolloid dressing only in the ingredients, no chemical drugs added.
Stick strong enough on my skin.
Waterproof, so I can take a bath without worry lol.
Works perfectly!

Cons:

Leaves acne marks and it can't be faded by this product.
Only works for whiteheads.

I will repurchasing it if it runs out ;)

I recommend it a lot if you have whiteheads around your face. If you have much, I suggest you to use combination version :)

REVIEW: Garnier Light Complete Multi Action Whitening Cream

I've been searching good moisturizer with affordable price to be bought by a student like me. So I just bought a mini pack version (7 ml) of Garnier Light Complete Multi Action Whitening Cream to know if it is suitable for me or not.

Tada! There it is. This product comes in cute tumbler bottle in the plastic.

According to its description, let me translate into English.
"Warm and dump air in Indonesia causes excessive oil production. It causes blemishes on your face and dullness. These problems can make your face looking dull.
NEW INNOVATION! Moisturizer Garnier Light Complete Multi Action Whitening Cream are made specially for Indonesian women. Its formula is not only to brightens skin, but also helps reduces excess sebum. Besides that, its formula helps reduces appearance of dullness, acne marks and dark spots."
OIL CONTROL FORMULA
Its texture is light weight and easily absorbed. Skin feels comfortable and looks shine-free.

Unboxing time! It comes with cute tumbler bottle :)

It has rather big tube that's easy to be contaminated :/

It has white color and creamy. Also, it has soft and nice scent of lemon tea.

After rubbing it, it is absorbed quickly and it whitens my skin temporarily

Results:

At first, my skin feels smooth and fairer :)
Acne marks and dark spots fades away a little :)
After 4 hrs usage, my skin feels sticky when I touch. Furthermore, excessive oil production starts to appear.

Actually I apply much amount of it so that my skin feels sticky after 4 hrs usage. So I recommend to apply only small amount of it (M&M candy sized).

UPDATES:

When I take small amount, my skin gets smoother in a long time without feeling sticky. Also, the oil control is far better if I take it small. So that was my fault of taking it much :p
Causes BREAKOUTS! :(

Comparison of excessive oil production between using this moisturizer than nothing:

Without usage (cleanse + tone)

With usage (cleanse +tone +moisturize)

According to these pictures above, do these look the same? -___-

TIPS: for you who have very oily skin, take a thin layer of it to your skin so that you won't find it sticky and greasy after application.

In conclusion,

Pros:

Cheap and suitable for starter (IDR 3.900,- on mini market).
Cute package.
Nice scent.
Whitens my skin at first impression.
Gives smooth complexion if I take it in small amount.
Fades away acne marks and dark spots a little.
Great oil control if I take thin layer of it.

Cons:

Big tube.
Contains fragrance.
Doesn't have SPF.
Creamy texture that is actually suitable for normal to dry skin(Why don't Garnier use gel-based moisturizer instead?)
Excess sebum starts to appear after 4 hrs usage (yeah, cos I took it much hehe)
Look the same as if I don't use any moisturizer (again, cos it was my fault taking it too much).
causes breakouts.

Will I repurchase? BIG NO! I got breakouts cause of this product. I will give the rest of it to my maid, hehe.
