REVIEW: The Body Shop Lip Butter Blueberry & The Body Shop Strawberry Beautifying Oil
Two years ago, I was enticed by The Body Shop sale when they had 50% off discount for selected items. All of products discounted were body care and they usually seldom giving special discount for their skincare products. Well, I just bought The Body Shop Lip Butter Blueberry and The Body Shop Strawberry Beautifying Oil. I forgot the price, but each of them got 50% off discounts and I eagerly bought them.
I used the beautifying oil right after purchase, but a year later on the lip butter lol. It's been two years and there's still half of them left because I haven't been using them frequently. Alright, without further do, let's start.
Beautifying Oil is pure beauty in a bottle. Made with a lightweight blend of nut oils including Community Trade marula oil, it gives instant hydration and a shimmering finish. This one has a sweet strawberry scent. For body, face and hair A little goes a long way Sweet strawberry scent
Packaging:
Yes, it has buttery texture and glides smoothly on my lips. Also, it melts immediately on my lips. I really love the smell of blueberry, I wonder if The Body Shop released blueberry perfume lol.

It comes with a cutie tub which is travel friendly. However, it seems unhygienic to use, especially when you have dirty hands or long nails and you dip your finger into it.

It comes with a travel-friendly plastic bottle and a flip top to open. The hole is so small that I can take it out adequately. One thing that annoys me is after using it, the bottle gets greasy every time I close it and carry the bottle with my oily hands.

It has a slight runny, oily texture which is neither too oily nor too runny. The consistency is on point. The smell of strawberry catches my interest.

I don't have any idea why there's a white layer on my lips, and it feels heavy on my lips -____-
Also, my lips are chapped 5 mins after usage even though I feel my lips are hydrated and I was in a cool room, no air conditioner. It may works as both lip moisturizer and lip exfoliator, I wonder.
When I lick it accidentally, the taste is bitter. I thought the taste would be delicious blueberry :(
Unfortunately, the staying power is poor. It doesn't hydrate/moisturize my lips well in a long run. My lips become dry 2-3 hours after usage in a cool room so that I need to reapply it.

I adore this one, seriously. I call it, my dry skin remedy yaaaasss <3
It moisturizes pretty well on my very dry feet without feeling annoyingly greasy or sticky. I also use it as a hair daily leave on every time I wash my hair. It stays a whole day when I apply an adequate amount of it. Also, the smell stays a whole day too. I love it when I have strawberry fragrant on my hair and it stays long <3
Conclusion:
- The Body Shop Lip Butter Blueberry
This product is pretty decent for me. I love the smell and cute packaging while the quality is not bad. I don't recommend it, there's a lot of lip butter cheaper and better than this one. Repurchase? You know right.
- The Body Shop Strawberry Beautifying Oil
Finally, I've found an all-purpose moisturizer with great quality. Of course, I recommend it and I will repurchase when it runs out.
